PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a taximeter by which a work for re-inputting information such as a distance correcting value, which is intrinsic to a vehicle body, is unnecessitated not only after the inspection of a head part but also in the case a new kind of taximeter is mounted on the vehicle body. SOLUTION: A taximeter main body B is constituted of a taximeter head part 1 for calculating fare based on a measured travelling distance, a taximeter body part 2 supplying power and a distance signal to the head part 1 and an attaching means 3 fixing the head part 1 and the body part 2 to the vehicle body 4, a storage device C storing information intrinsic to the vehicle body, which includes at least distance correcting information, is fitted to the head part 1 from the outer part of the main body B so as to be attachable/detachable, the head part 1 is sealed when it is fixed to the vehicle body 4 and, thus a taximeter A is constituted.
