<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a system from becoming complicated by dividing received data into ones with a prescribed length, adding identification information for identifying a network which receives reception data among the plural networks to division data by means of a data dividing means, adopting them as fixed length data and transmitting them to a host device. SOLUTION: When data is received from a network, it is stored in a buffer in a network interface, and then the data size is inspected and the required number of areas for storing fixed length data are secured in a packet storage memory 2. A header adding part generates a header and writes fixed length data consisting of the header and data in the areas. When the writing of received data is ended, a network driver is notified of the fact that data writing is ended and host device software receives data, by reading the fixed length as with respect to the packet storage memory 2.</p> |
