<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and instrument for reception level measurement in a communication system between road vehicles which recognize the position of a device on a vehicle with a high precision to obtain a high-precision measurement result. SOLUTION: A position processing part 2 consists of an antenna 21 which receives a carrier wave from the outside, a direction detector 22 which detects the incoming direction of the receiver carrier wave from the reception signal from an antenna 21, and a direction position calculation part 23 which specifies a position from the direction obtained by the direction detector 22. A data processing part 3 calculates reception level characteristics on the basis of the detection signal from a level detection part 13 and the direction position signal from the direction position calculation part 23. Since the direction detector 22 is used on the roadside machine to detect the direction of the carrier wave transmitted from the device on a vehicle, the position of the vehicle can be specified according to the detected direction.</p> |
