PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly transfer print data to a spooler means, after converting processing and to directly print out the print data which are preserved as a file. SOLUTION: A prepared print job processing thread reads out print data registered in a print queue for printing service (S9). Then, a device check thread (S10) and a data converting thread are prepared (S13). The device check thread confirms (S11) the state of a printer unit via an external I/F, and when the printer unit is ready ('Yes' in S15), a processing S18 is started but if it is 'No' in S15, their contents and 'OK' and 'cancel' buttons are displayed (S16). Then, the input of a user is waited (S17) and if it is 'OK', processing S18 is started but if it is 'cancel', a switch is made to a processing S21. At the same time, the data converting thread converts the print data in the print queue for printing service to bit map data (S14). The end of processing 14 is confirmed, the spool processing thread is prepared (S20), and print data are outputted.
