PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for expressing the distribution of three-dimensional points in a laser scanning microscope, having an precise focusing stage which can be inclined, so that the inclination of an X/Y scanner and the table of the microscope is adjusted based on the distribution of raster points given previously by calculation and a raster point to be scanned is made to coincide with the previously given distribution of the raster points. SOLUTION: A first distribution (OR1) of the raster points is compared with the second distribution (OR2) of the raster points produced by the calculation. At a place where the raster points are made to coincide with each other, the first raster point is quoted for expressing the second distribution (OR2). At a place, where they are not made to coincide with each other, an intermediate value is formed from the first distribution (OR1) set around the second raster point. Then, the state of the second raster point is made to correspond to such a state. Moreover, the inclination of an X/Y scanner and the table of the microscope is adjusted, based on the distribution of two-dimensional or the three-dimensional raster points previously given by the calculation so that the raster point to be scanned is made to coincide with the mainly stored distribution of raster points as a whole or in part.
