PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which a varistor having a superior service life characteristics can be manufactured inexpensively. SOLUTION: A laminated varistor 10 contains an elemental varistor body 12. The elemental body 12 has a ceramic body 14, in which many internal electrodes 16, 16, etc., are formed. The elemental body 12 is formed by sintering the laminated body of green sheets, composed mainly of zinc oxide, etc. The elemental varistor body 12 are formed so that two external electrodes 18 and 18 are baked to the body 12 in an atmosphere containing hydrogen at a concentration of 2 g/m3 or lower. |
