摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up pixel density conversion without raising the cost in an image processor having a pixel density conversion means which makes the density of image data to be high at the time of storing image data which is read by freely scanning an original into an image memory. SOLUTION: An image processor has a mapping circuit 7 making the density of image data to be high at the time of storing image data into an image memory 9 with image data which is read by freely scanning an original and operation position data corresponding to image data as inputs. An area which is not necessary to be made into high density is judged from scanning position data and a high density processing on the area is not executed. Then, the number of operations is reduced and processing speed is speeded up.
