LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to secure a large effective screen region without expanding the external shape of a liquid crystal cell while making it possible to secure sealing strength even when plural metallic electrodes are used for a counter substrate and a resin of a UV curing type is used for seals. SOLUTION: The constitution in which the areas occupied by the plural metallic electrodes 8 in the positions within regions C1 in contact with the seals 9 on the substrate side formed with the plural metallic electrodes 8 extracted from a display electrode region B1 through an electrode region B2 and extended to a terminal electrode recording B3 on a substrate 7 are set smaller than the areas not occupied by these electrodes is adopted. As a result, the sealing strength may be secured in spite of irradiation with UV rays from the substrate 7 side in a stage of curing the seals 9 consisting of the resin by irradiation with the UV rays.
