PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a simplified linear motor mechanism that enables linear and non-linear movement by arranging in a line a magnet train, electrode sheet, contact and U-type electromagnet. SOLUTION: The N poles and S poles of the plate type magnets are arranged as a line alternately to form a magnet train 3 and the electrode plate sheet 4 patterned to alternately generate positive and negative poles is then arranged on this magnet train 3. The U-type electromagnet 1 is placed in such a manner that the contact 2 is in contact with the electrode sheet 4 and thereby the contact 2 is located at the position where the electrodes of the electrode sheet are changed in such a position where the center of the electromagnet 1 is matched with the center of the magnet train 3. Here, the electrical power is fed to the electrode sheet 4, a current flows through the electromagnet 1 via the contact 2, a magnetic force is induced in the electromagnet 1 and this induced magnetic force is attracted or repelled due to the influence of the magnetic field of the magnet train 3 to become the drive source to generate the propelling force.
