PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly aid photographing or judgment by a user or the like by continuously photographing an object, capturing image data, evaluating the propriety, recording the selected image data via a selection operation means, displaying the image data and the evaluation result of the image data by the selection operation means and accepting an external image selection operation. SOLUTION: A microprocessor 18 executes a decision routine for a photographing stop condition to decide whether or not a consecutive shot is to be stopped. When a stop flag is reset as a result of the decision routine, the microprocessor 18 repeats the consecutive shot. When the stop flag is set, the microprocessor 18 executes collectively a propriety evaluation routine of the image data that are consecutively photographed. Then the microprocessor 18 decides whether or not at least any of propriety evaluation results excells a predetermined permissible value. When there is no propriety evaluation better than the permissible value, the consecutive shot is tried again.
