<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm reception and breaking of the seal of an electronic mail at a reception terminal, without causing a large time difference or going through the intermediary of an exchange network. SOLUTION: Callback information which denotes a callback destination is added to an electronic mail generated by a mail transmission terminal 1a, and the terminal 1a transmits the resulting mail. A mail reception terminal 1b receiving the electronic mail discriminates whether or not the callback information is added to the received electronic mail, and when the callback information is added to the electronic mail, the reception terminal 1b makes a call out to the callback destination. A terminal receiving the call in from the mail reception terminal 1b, such as a mail reception terminal 1a, discriminates the reception of the generated electronic mail by the mail reception terminal 1b according to the call in. Thus, the mail transmission terminal 1a can confirm the reception of the electronic mail, without causing a large time difference or going through the intermediary of a mail center 3 of an exchange network 2a.</p> |
