PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, noiseless sensor by forming an electronic shutter which is disposed in front of an infrared-detecting sensor such as a pyroelectric element to chop infrared rays incident on the sensor. SOLUTION: This energy-saving control system comprises a liquid-crystal pattern filter 3, a pyroelectric element 4, a detection signal processing circuit 5, load equipment 6, a controller 7 and a liquid-crystal driver 8. Infrared rays 2 radiated from a human body 1 are chopped by means of a pattern created by the liquid-crystal pattern filter 3 and are incident on the pyroelectric element 4. A detection signal outputted from the pyroelectric element 4 is inputted to the controller 7, which in turn determines the presence of the human and his or her condition. The power switch of the load equipment 6 is controlled depending on the result determined.
|
