PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-guiding plate capable of suppressing generation of brightness irregularities caused by the light to be introduced to the utmost, even if the light is introduced alternatively from facing two side end faces, and to provide a surface light source device capable of showing stable performance and a display device having excellent display performance, by using the light-guiding plate. SOLUTION: Plural diffusion means are installed on the rear face of a light- guiding plate, so that occupying areas on the rear face become smaller gradually from the roughly central part of the light-guiding plate toward respective directions of one and the other side end faces, and so that an occupying area distribution becomes asymmetrical relative to one and the other side end face directions with the roughly central part of the light-guiding plate as the center. A light source or an outside intake part is installed on the light-guiding plate to thereby form a surface light source device, and besides, a non-luminous display means is installed on the emitting face side of the light-guiding plate to thereby form a display device. |
