PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set which can be easily used in a transmission/reception mode without being searched for no taken out, never misses an incoming call when a vibration or a silent call is set and also can eliminate the continuation of noises that occurs due to the missing of the incoming call in an incoming mode. SOLUTION: The left and right parts 2 and 3 of a portable telephone set main body 1 are nonlinearly formed and joined together via a hinge 4, and the terminals 5 and 6 of the parts 2 and 3 are removable respectively. Thus, the main body 1 can be opened and closed and then closed in a ring shape. Thereby the main body 1 can be attached to and detached from a catch or a shoulder strap of a bag and also can be used as a bracelet, etc.
