摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the charge and discharge characteristic and life characteristic by forming a skeleton for forming a metal porous body by use of a metal mainly composed of Fe, and plating a Co film on the surface of the frame, and filling an active material to a communicating port formed between the skeletons. SOLUTION: A Co film 5 of single layer is formed by electroplating. In the forming process, the plating solution intrudes into a cavity 2 within a skeleton 1 through pinholes to partially electro-deposit Co thereon. For the use as a battery electrode substrate 50, an active material 7 is filled in the part of communicating holes 6. Preferably, the Co film is formed with a Ni film being interposed entirely or partially between the skeleton and the Co film by electroplating to form a metal porous body prevented in elution of Fe. Since Fe is exposed from the cut surface when the metal porous body having the Ni film single layer is worked as the electrode substrate, the Co film can be formed also on the cut surface by Co plating.
