PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active response machine for preserving and sending out a received message by providing a controller connected to a message reception interface, a message preservation circuit and a message transmission interface. SOLUTION: The data access constitution(DAA) circuits 50 and 52 of an active response machine 10 are connected to a first communication line 12 and a second option communication line 14. Corresponding CODDEC circuits 54 and 56 process signals inputted/outputted to/from the DAA circuits 50 and 52. Processed analog signals are transmitted/received between the first communication line 12 and the second option communication line 14. A processor 60 has a central processing unit(CPU) 62 and a digital signal processor(DSP) 64 and it operates with a control program preserved in flash memory ROM 66. RAM 68 connected to DSP 64 and RAM 69 connected to CPU 62 show functions preserving data.
