PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly realize the power saving mode by setting/releasing an image storage mode in the case of power saving, using a memory reception mode setting means to set the image storage mode in the power saving mode, releasing the power saving mode in the case of detecting the arrival of an incoming call so as to receive image information in a memory reception mode. SOLUTION: A power control section 12 monitors whether a network controller 11 outputs an incoming call detection signal or an operation detection section 7 outputs a key operation detection signal in the power saving mode. When the network controller 11 outputs an incoming call detection signal or the operation display section 7 outputs a key operation detection signal, the power saving mode is released and a usual power supply PA1 is made active. Moreover, a power saving power supply PA2 also in this case remains active. Thus, a system control section 1 conducts usual start processing and executes prescribed call reception processing in the case of detecting the arrival of an incoming call and stores received picture information to an image storage device 9 for the time being.
