PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the deterioration of a characteristic caused by the heat generation of a liquid crystal projector device whose heat radiating effect is improved, whose luminance is excellent and which is small-sized by forming at least one kind of transparent bodies such as a transparent base body constituting the holding plate of a polarizing body and a liquid crystal panel in a lens and a polarizing plate of a sapphire base body. SOLUTION: Light projected by a light source 1 is reflected by a spherical reflection mirror 2, and is made incident on the liquid crystal panel 8 through an incident side polarizing plate 6 after being transmitted through a filter 3, an integrator lens 4 and a condensing lens 5. Then, an image obtained by the light emitted by the liquid crystal panel 8 is magnified and projected on a screen or the like by a projecting lens 9 after the light is transmitted through an emitting side polarizing plate 7. In this liquid crystal projector device, at least, one kind of the transparent bodies such as the transparent base body constituting the holding plate of the polarizing body and the liquid crystal panel 8 in the lens 4 and polarizing plates 6 and 7 is formed of the sapphire base body. Then, the heat conductivity of the sapphire base body is excellent, so that generated heat at each part is efficiently radiated. |
