<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make selection of a hypertext link easier by displaying an auxiliary input area in response to the display of a main input area for the hypertext link. SOLUTION: One of the events processed by a browser is a screen touch event and is detected in a touch screen input process routine. In this case, three hypertext links 210, 220, and 230 are displayed in, for example, a screen display window 200 together with the hypertext document 202. The links 210, 220, and 230 have main input areas 212, 222, and 232, respectively, and a choice is made by touch input. Further, navigation buttons 280 are displayed in array as an auxiliary input area along the lower end of the display window 200 and respective navigation buttons 281 to 283 are provided corresponding to the hypertext links 210, 220, and 230. Consequently, the user is able to start the desired hypertext links 210, 220, and 230 by pressing the buttons 280.</p> |
