SWITCHING DEVICE AND METHOD OF TRANSPORT STREAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid missing of a packet that constitutes MPEG image data by outputting the switching change of on/off input signals of a transport stream to a changeover switch at the timing of the head data in the MPEG image. SOLUTION: The switching change of on/off input signals of a transport stream is outputted to a changeover switch 2 at the timing of the head data on an MPEG image. In this device, an on/off switching signal of the transport stream is inputted to a data input terminal D of a latch circuit (flip-flop) 8 and the output of a payload start indicator 7 is inputted to a clock terminal of the circuit 8 with the signal showing the heat of the MPEG image data used as a clock. Thus, the output of the circuit 8 can be obtained at the head of the MPEG image data.
