PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-current converter which improves substantially its linearity without deteriorating substantially its performance such as the dissipation of electric power and the noise characteristic, i.e., with the allowable deterioration of the performance. SOLUTION: This voltage-current converter consists of a 1st long rear pair of transistors TR T1 and T2 whose emitters are connected to a constant current source CC1 via the resistors R1 and R2 having the same resistance value. The 1st long rear pair functions as a main transconductance stage. A subordinate transconductance stage, i.e., a collector transconductance stage is connected to the main transconductance stage with an opposite phase. A collector stage is constructed based on another long rear pair of TR T3 and T4 whose emitters are connected to a constant current source CC2 via resistors R3 and R4. The linear part of a nonlinear part of the collector stage is smaller than that of the main transconductance stage, and the nonlinear part of the collector stage is substantially equal to that of the main transconductance stage. As a result, the nonlinear distortions can be substantially suppressed.
