PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transfer method which does not clear control information needed for file management when FTP(file transfer protocol) is used. SOLUTION: After file data are received, a control information item acquiring means 13 acquires control information item that a client 1 supports and sends them to a server 2 by a local command transmitting means 11 by using a local command. A local command receiving means 22 passes the received local command to a control information extracting means 24. The control information extracting means 24 analyzes the local command, extracts control information from the a transmitted file 26, and passes it to a local command answer transmitting means 21. The local command answer transmitting means 21 sends it to the client 1. A local command answer receiving means 12 passes the received local command to a control information restoring means 15. The control information restoring means 15 restores the control information to a received file 17.
