The lead allows a number of additional items of equipment to derive power from the lead which normally links the computer base and monitor. The connection system includes a three-core electrical cable (1) terminated at one end by a molded male IEC terminal (2) for connection to the female power outlet socket on the main box of a computer. At the other end of the electrical cable there is a similar type female connector (3) for supplying power to the monitor of the computer. The cable passes through a plastic box (4) in which there are, for example, three 3-pin sockets (5) connected in parallel between the conductors of the three-core cable. These are used for the power supply which is fed to all other computer peripherals.
