METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESS PRIORITY ON THE BASIS OF RANDOM BACK-OFF IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assign a different chip delay to each priority class by selecting a back-off delay among different back-off delays relating respectively to a access priority class established in advance and transmitting a new access request signal through a selected logic access channel to a base station. SOLUTION: A remote terminal receives and stores an access priority system parameter that is multiple addressed to a base station. The terminal decides whether or not a new class request is required for reception of a packet to be sent and selects a logical access channel as required. The terminal selects random chip delay from a distribution on the basis of a required priority class or a priority class belonging to the terminal and transmits an access request according to the selected chip delay on a selected logical access channel. Then the terminal decides whether or not the access request is received by the base station.
