PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining-toner quantitative detector capable of successively detecting the quantity of remaining toner. SOLUTION: A remaining-toner quantitative detector for successively detecting the quantity of toner T in a toner container (toner storage part) 11, which is used in an electrophotogrpahic image forming device, has a first antenna (first electrode) 18 disposed along a path where the quantity of the toner is reduced according to the consumption of the toner T in the toner container 11 for the storage of the toner T, a second antenna (second electrode) 20 disposed so that when the toner T is stored in the toner container 11, the toner T is present in the toner container 11 between the first antenna 18 and the second antenna 20, and an electrostatic capacitance detection means for successively detecting changes in electrostatic capacitance between the first antenna 18 and the second antenna 20, thereby successively detecting a quantity of toner T in the toner container 11.
