PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a memory space without impairing the possibility concerning its layout by allocating the connected pixels to a form corresponding to the distribution of corresponding pixel value and generating the connected pixels from the corresponding pixels of the parts which should be connected together. SOLUTION: A digital image is divided into at least two parts and these respective image parts are encoded by an integrated method. In this case, the connected pixels are generated from the corresponding pixels of every image part. In more detail, the connected pixels are assigned to the clearly defined forms A-D corresponding to the distribution of pixel value included in a set of N elements of the corresponding pixel. In another image coding method, two or more consecutive images are connected together in a corresponding way and encoded. These methods are applied with priority only when two different pixel values are assigned to the relevant pixels included in the image parts or an image.
