PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an interface unit to correctly read received data at all times and to correctly output data at all time and to realize proper countermeasures, when detecting errors. SOLUTION: This interface unit 3 is provided with a plurality of transmission means 11 that receive input data from a data transmission system 2, an input discrimination means 21 that collates the data received by each transmission means that discriminates whether or not a plurality of input data coming from different input systems are coincident, an output means 13 that outputs the data resulting from applying prescribed processing to the received data to a terminal unit 4, a feedback discrimination means 22 that collates data outputted from the output means with the output data resulting from applying the prescribed processing to the input data to discriminate whether or not they match, and a monitor control means 16 that allows the output means to stop a data output to the terminal unit 4, when the collation by the input discrimination means and the feedback discrimination means depicts nonmatching of data.
