摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct landing deviations with high precision. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 9 provided for a funnel section 2 of a color cathode ray tube senses the temperature Tf of the funnel section 2, and a temperature sensor 8 provided at the outside of the color cathode ray tube senses the ambient temperature Te around the color cathode ray tube. The temperature difference Tf-Te between the temperature Tf of the funnel section and the ambient temperature Te, and the temperature difference Te-Td between the preset design temperature Td and the ambient temperature Te and obtained. Alanding deviation G is calculated on the basis of the two temperature differences and this deviation G is used to control the landing correction devices 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d provided respectively at four corners at side faces of the color cathode ray tube. The landing correction devices 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d generate a magnetic field in a direction to correct the deviation G so as to correct the landing position of the electron beam.
