PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a high-density electrode active material layer reduced in deformation such as a corrugation or wrinkles generated in an electrode plate to facilitate flattening of the electrode plate and in electrode plate resistance. SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises an internal electrode body composed by winding positive and negative electrodes of a collector substrate coated with an electrode active material around a core circumference through a separator and a nonaqueous electrolyte. On a collector substrate 12 in an electrode active material non-coated area 7 formed on the end part in the width direction (Y-axis direction) of a positive electrode plate 2, a slit 21 parallel to the width direction of the charge collector substrate 12 is formed. Similarly, a negative electrode is formed. |
