摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical chaos random number generating apparatus of high reproducibility in generation of a physical random number and easy in controllability by using a high speed property of light and a deterministic characteristic and a random number property of a system provided in a chaos dynamics system. SOLUTION: An optical demultiplexer 3 divides a beam from a light source 11 into beams of the same power of a prescribed number, and an optical chaos signal generating device 1 consisting of the prescribed number of optical interferometer groups having two optical paths is made incident respectively with the beams divided with the optical demultiplexer 3, and the beams are branched into two parts to be re-multiplexed. An optical path length difference information storage 2 stores the information of an optical path length difference between two optical paths between branching - multiplexing of the prescribed number of optical interferometers, and an optical output signal measuring device 4 measures the energy of prescribed optical chaos output signals outputted from the prescribed number of optical interferometers. An optical output signal processing storage 5 processes and stores the energy values of the optical output signals shown by a constant dimension non-negative real number vector outputted from respective optical interferometers measured by the optical output signal measuring device 4.
