The suction gripping device may have a rectangular baseplate (1) with an array of closely-spaced suction cups (2) on one side. A loop or handle (3) may be fitted to the rear surface of the baseplate and there is a small loop or pull cord (4) at one corner which is used to peel the suction gripping device off the side of the bath. Alternatively, the suction cups may be fitted on the palm of a glove, the sole of a boot or the front or back of a toy figure.
