PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate an external impact by a housing of a portable electronic equipment when the equipment is collided with an article by dropping and to prevent breakage of the housing by alternately laminating plurality of viscoelastic layers and metal layers at a part of the housing. SOLUTION: In the housing 11, sides 12 are substantially perpendicularly provided at four sides of a circumference of a bottom 13, and the sides 12 and the bottom 13 are formed of a laminate obtained by alternately laminating plurality of metal plates 21, 22 and 23 and viscoelastic materials 24, 25. As the plate 23, any of aluminum and an aluminum alloy is used to disperse an impact force, that is, a concentrated load received from an outside of the housing 11 to propagate the force to the material 25. An energy of a high frequency of the propagated force is absorbed to the material 25. Thus, the impact when collided with an article is alleviated by the housing 11, and an operating fault of a component in the equipment can be prevented.
