PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with suppressed crystallization under a long-hour operation or a high temperature ambient and with improved durability. SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescent element comprising an organic compound layer having at least an organic luminescent layer sandwiched with a pair of electrodes, the organic electroluminescent element includes the organic luminescent layer containing a luminescent material and a crystalization inhibitor and includes at least one layer of the organic compound layer containing a compound represented by a formula (I) and a crystalization inhibitor. The formula (I): X and Y are 6-50C aryl groups or 3-50C monovalent heterocyclic groups, and Ar is 6-80C arylene groups, a divalent triphenylamine redidue or divalent heterocyclic groups.
