PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice recorder, a voice reproducing device and a voice processing device in which a retrieving is easily done using index information. SOLUTION: If an index mark button of an operation input section 12 is pressed while voice inputted from a microphone 1 is compressed by a digital signal processing section 5 and recorded in a voice data region of a recording medium 7, the voice inputted after the above operation is recorded in the region as index voice data and the leading and the completing positions of the data in the region are recorded in a control information region of the medium 7. Moreover, when the button is pushed during a reproducing, the region of the medium 7 is retrieved, only the index voice data are selected and the data are reproduced.
