PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure to prevent hot temperature water from running, by controlling the valve travel of a bypass flow quantity control valve suitably for a form in the case of a water and hot water mixed using form, and by controlling the valve travel of a bypass flow quantity control valve suitably for the form in the case of a single water using form on the basis of the comparison result of a set temperature of running hot water and a threshold temperature. SOLUTION: A bypass channel 13, which bypasses a hot water supplying heat exchanger 2 to provide communication between a water supply channel 6 and a hot water supply channel 10, is provided, and a bypass flow quantity control valve (GM) 14 is interposed in the channel. A hot water supplying mode can be selected from a water/hot water supplying condition in which a mixing faucet is connected for use, and a water supplying condition in which a single faucet is connected for use. When running of hot water is started from the operation condition, in which the temperature of the hot water residing in the hot water supplying heat exchanger 2 rises during the shutdown of hot water running, comparison is made between a set temperature of running hot water and a threshold temperature. When the set temperature of the running hot water is higher than the threshold temperature, the valve travel control of the GM 14 that is suitable for the water/hot water supplying condition is done. When the set temperature of the running hot water is lower than the threshold temperature, the valve travel control of the GM 14 that is suitable for the single faucet using form is done.
