The protection layer (16), preferably of frosted glass or tempered or printed disc with sufficient transparency, is so structured as to contribute for the aesthetic impression for the side, facing the light impingement, of the cells (12). The protection layer surface provides homogenizing of the overall impression of this side. The transparency of the frosted glass, or printed etc. disc is sufficient for current generation relevant spectral range. Typically the protected layer is a glass pane and the cells are of polycrystalline or amorphous material.
