The bench seat has a pivoted back rest and is mounted on a main frame. The bench (6) consists of two parts (8,9), and at least one of the parts is detachably fastened to the main frame, so that a free space can be created within the vehicle. One bench part (9) is sized for one person, the second one (8) is sized for two persons. The parts are fastened to the frame via horizontal locking bolts, and each part has manually operated locking fittings to engage under the bolts.
