In color photographic material with a base and >= 2 blue-, >= 2 green- and >= 2 red-sensitive silver halide (AgX) emulsion layers containing yellow, magenta and cyan couplers, in which >= 2 layers of the same spectral sensitivity and different speed contain selenium (Se) and/or tellurium (Te), the slow emulsion layer contains >= 1.3 times as much Se and/or Te as the faster layer, in terms of mole Se and/or Te/mole AgX.
