The pressure plate unit comprises a housing (16) with a flywheel (14) for simultaneous rotation of the unit about an axis of rotation. The housing is connected via a connecting unit (26) to an axially adjustable pressure plate (24). A force storage unit (28) or membrane spring (28) lies on both sides of the pressure plate. The connecting device allows no rotation of the pressure plate relative to the housing.
