The arrangement has a first electric motor (3) acting directly or indirectly on the shaft (2) and a second electric motor (4) that acts on the same shaft to generate the torque, whereby the first motor and the second motor each generate a part of the torque. The motors are essentially identical and generate approximately the same torque. An Independent claim is also included for a method of operating an arrangement for generating torque.
