The method of distributing fertilizer by means of a twin-disc broadcaster working in rows (1,2,3) has the fertilizer broadcast by the two discs in a triangular pattern. The apex lies in the center of the track and the fertilizer is distributed to a distance about double that of the operating range. The distributed patterns overlap to make a linear pattern. when the fertilizer is distributed to the edge (4) of the field at a distance amounting to half the distance between tracks by means of the disc nearest the filed-edge, a trapezoid pattern is produced with steep flank. The trapezoid distribution pattern can be displaced between at least two positions.
