The adjustable suspension piece is in the form of a two-sided insert possessing two arms (1,2) each with a rung-section (3), a step-fitment (4) and suspension recess (5). A stringer-surround forms a unit adapting to the size of each stringer's thickness, together with two movable support parts (6,7) and the locking-screw with rotary washer (12). A screw-out rung-side plate (14) regulates the width of the rung-section. A support locking lever (17) is incorporated in one or both arms.
