The window frame (1) is for fixture of a pane (4) in an opening in a wall. It has a space (R) around the pane to be fixed, which extends heat resistance of at least part of the frame. The space is open and is closed by the pane to be fixed. A screen of aluminium foil is fixed in the space and divides it into two parts. The screen extends with a prominent component parallel to the surface of the pane.
