NOVEL TRIPHENYL COMPOUNDS

Triphenyl compounds represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof, wherein X<1>, X<2> and X<3> are each independently hydroxyl, mercapto, or amino; Y is amino; and R<4> is a C1-C12 trivalent hydrocarbon group which may be fluorinated or contain an etheric oxygen atom, or a triazine residue, with the proviso that either each of X<1>, X<2> and X<3> or Y is bonded at the meta position and the other at the para position. The compounds are useful as crosslinking agents for elastomers and give crosslinked products excellent in heat resistance.
