<p>An MPU changes the level of an output signal (Stime) at an output port from H to L at a predetermined time after a PC card is detected by a card detector of an electronic device. A switch driver circuit turns a power switch ON when the signal (Stime) becomes H, and turns it OFF when no PC card is detected. As a result, the PC card is protected from an electric shock when inserted in the electronic device (S) or removed from it.</p> |
