The present invention relates to an engine comprising a cylinder in which a piston with a connecting rod is capable of displacement and is cinematically connected to the output shaft. This engine includes two pairs of upper and lower gears having the same diameter, wherein said gears are arranged under the cylinder on the walls of the housing. The gears are surrounded by chain transmissions which are connected together through a connecting-rod journal, thus defining the crankshaft that converts the reciprocating movement of the piston into a rotation of the output shafts. The purpose of this invention is to increase the number of revolutions of the output shaft.
