A METHOD FOR MEASURING OPTIC CONSTANTS OF A THIN LIMPID PELLICLE

Method for calculating optical constants of a thin transparent film on a crystal foundation belongs to the field of optics and may be used for exploring optical properties of crystals.The measuring scheme includes a fractured total internal reflection prism (1) put on a thin transparent film (2) which has formed on a transparent or opaque isotropic or anti-isotropic foundation (3). A refractometer (4) with a calculation device is positioned in the path of a ray pointed from a monochromator to a prism at an angle of 0 degrees and reflected by the prism. Energetic refraction factors RSS and RPP of monochromatic light s and polarisations p are measured by means of refractometer (4).
