METHOD FOR PURIFYING PLATINUM AND PALLADIUM WITH HIGH PURITY

PURPOSE: A method for purifying and separating platinum or palladium with high purity by means of a short process from platinum group metals which are primarily recovered from waste automobile catalysts, waste chemical catalysts and metal scrap by a chemical or physical method is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for purifying platinum and palladium elements with high purity from a waste automobile catalyst containing mixture of Pt/Pd/Rh according to the present invention comprises the steps: a) precipitating and separating palladium metal using oxime based complex-forming agent as a complex-forming agent; and b) sequentially precipitating and separating platinum metal using amine, phosphine and ammonium chloride complex-forming agents.
