PURPOSE: A mid supply reference voltage generator is provided to eliminate a noise coupled to adjacent on chip circuitry by using a bypass capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A reference voltage generator circuit(100) comprises a first resistor(106), a first transistor(116) and a second resistor(108) connected in series between supply terminals. A second transistor(120), a third transistor(118) and a third resistor(110) are similarly connected between the supply terminals, and a reference voltage is produced at an output terminal(104). If the resistors 106 and 108 are of equal value, the output voltage is not dependent on temperature. A starting signal is applied at terminal(102) coupled to MOSFET switches(142, 144). Transistors(116, 120, 118) and an optional transistor(130) may be bipolar or CMOS devices.
