PURPOSE: An automatic interface apparatus and the method thereof in the asynchronous digital subscriber line are provided to easily achieve the management and maintenance of a system by automatically setting up the access path of a user from the external with a special communication means. CONSTITUTION: An automatic main distributing frame(110) provides access ports(P1'-Pn') to a plurality of users(11-1n) by the control of an NMS(Network Management System)(150). A DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer)(120) connected with the access ports(P1'-Pn') provides communication lines to the users(11-1n) and transmits the status of the communication lines to the NMS(150). A transceiver(130) carries out data the transmission and reception between the users(11-1n) and a network(140) through the communication lines of the DSLAM(120) at a high speed.
